Monitored Academic Status (MAS) is an internal designation placed in student's academic record by the Academic Progress Review Committee (APRC) in consultation with the relevant Department Chair. It allows students who do not meet satisfactory progress guidelines to continue under this status, in accordance with the policies outlined below. The APRC will notify students of the outcome of its end-of-semester review and, where applicable, provide specific conditions to remedy their MAS.
Students on MAS may not:
- Register for more than 12 credits in a semester.
- Participate in recognized extracurricular activities, including athletics.
- Hold office in recognized student organizations.
- Work in student employment.
- Withdraw from the course(s) which are being repeated.
