To submit a Medical Excuse, a student must use the Medical Excuse link on the University Portal. This self-report form should be submitted before the end of the scheduled examination time. A Medical Excuse covers all examinations scheduled during the 7-day period starting from the date of submission of the Medical Excuse.
If the student becomes able to take some or all of examinations during the period covered by the Medical Excuse, the student may take any remaining examinations. If a student makes a second Medical Excuse request within 12 months, the student will receive an automated notification that the request is not permitted; the notification also describes the consequences of missing the examination(s).
Note: Students may not request a Medical Excuse after starting an examination. Once a student has started an examination, a score will be submitted and contributes to the student’s grade, regardless of how much of the examination is completed. Students are therefore strongly discouraged from beginning an examination if they are unwell.
