Fully Accredited MPH Program

SGU is accredited by the Grenada National Accreditation Board (GNAB). All academic programs of the university, including the SGS programs, are recognized by GNAB. GNAB first accredited SGU in 2025.  The SGU School of Medicine is separately accredited by the Grenada Medical and Dental Council (GMDC), which is recognized by both the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and the US National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA).

The MPH program was the first graduate program to receive accreditation at SGU from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). As the US accreditation authority for public health programs, CEPH, initially accredited the MPH program for a five-year term beginning in 2010. The CEPH accredits all schools and programs of public health in the United States, and only a handful internationally, including in Canada, Mexico, Lebanon, Hong Kong and, since 2010, Grenada. The MPH program was re-accredited in 2015 and 2022 through to 2030, affirming the University’s leadership position in the region.
