Accommodations

St. George’s University is committed to ensuring access for qualified students with disabilities. In accordance with its mission and applicable laws, the University ensures that students with disabilities or disabling conditions that substantially limit one or more major life activities are provided with reasonable accommodations that support their full participation in academic and campus life; however, accommodations cannot fundamentally alter academic or program requirements, compromise patient or animal safety, or lower the standards of professional competency expected of all graduates.

To request accommodations, documentation must be submitted with an application at the Student Accessibility and Accommodations website (https://www.sgu.edu/student-support-services/student-accessibility-accommodation-services/). Students should email accommodations@sgu.edu with any questions.

Office of the Ombuds

At St. George’s University, we are proud of our diverse, international community of students, faculty, and staff. The Office of the Ombuds is here to promote a culture of respect and open communication by providing a welcoming, confidential, and impartial place to discuss any academic, workplace, or campus concerns. The Ombuds serves as a neutral resource, independent from formal administrative or disciplinary channels, to help you navigate challenges and find constructive ways forward. The services of the Office of the Ombuds are available to all members of the SGU community (students, faculty, staff, administrators, and researchers), regardless of department or role.
