Appendix A: Electronic and Printed Copies of Theses for Binding

Electronic Copy of the Thesis

An electronic copy of the final approved thesis must be submitted to the Office of the Dean of the SGS.  This electronic copy will be posted on the University Library website.  A candidate may request that the thesis not be electronically posted for up to a year in the event that posting may conflict with publication goals.

Paper Copies of the Thesis for Binding

The graduate is responsible for providing a minimum of five copies of the final thesis to be printed on appropriate paper and submitted to the Office of the Dean of the SGS.  All signatures of the Supervisory Committee should have been obtained and included in each of the five original thesis copies.

The approved final thesis will be submitted to New York for binding, and the returned bound theses will be allocated as follows: 1 to the Graduate, 1 to the Chair of the Supervisory Committee, 1 to the Office of the Dean of SGS, and 2 copies to the Library.  If a graduate would like additional printed copies bound, they can be bound by printing the additional copies with an original signatory page and submitting them at the same time as the 5 mandatory copies. These will be bound at a cost of approximately US$100.00 per copy with a check made payable to SGU (cost applicable in 2019).
