Tuition
All tuition fees and other University charges must be paid before students are permitted to register for classes (see tuition and fees). Responsibility for payment of tuition and all other University charges is solely that of the student. Billing is posted to the Student Self-Service Account. Notification that bills are available for viewing is sent via email to students’ University email accounts approximately one month prior to the due date. In the event students do not have fees posted to their account, it is their responsibility to contact the Bursar's Office to request proper billing.
Housing
All non-residents of Grenada enrolled in the School of Medicine, School of Veterinary Medicine, Undergraduate, Pre-medical, and Pre-veterinary Medical programs are required to reside in on-campus housing for the first two terms of each program, subject to space availability. This requirement also applies to Undergraduate, Pre-medical, and Pre-veterinary Medical students upon successful matriculation into the School of Medicine or School of Veterinary Medicine.
Students under the age of eighteen (18) are required to remain in University housing and may only be approved to reside off campus upon submission of parental authorization and approval by both the Housing Office and the Office of Student Affairs.
Students who have completed more than one term in the same program and wish to continue residing on campus must complete the established biannual housing application process to secure accommodation for future terms. Housing assignments are based on availability.
The following students, unless otherwise required by the University, are exempt from the mandatory on-campus housing requirement and may seek off-campus accommodation:
• Residents of Grenada
• Students with children
• Students with pets, excluding approved service animals
• Students granted special approval by the Housing Office due to extraordinary circumstances
Students residing off campus are responsible for all housing-related expenses. The University reserves the right to require students to reside on campus when deemed necessary. All students residing on campus will be billed according to their assigned room type. The Housing Contract is a legally binding agreement and is subject to the University’s Housing Cancellation Policy. Students who choose to move off campus after entering into a housing contract will be financially responsible for applicable housing charges.
Renters’ insurance is mandatory for all students residing on campus and must be obtained through the University-designated insurance provider. Applicable charges will be applied upon check-in.
During clinical terms, students are responsible for their own room and board; however, the University and affiliated hospitals may provide limited assistance where applicable.
