Students must complete at least 34 credit hours in the Master of Science programs and 60 credits in any PhD program. The distribution of the credit hours will be determined by the departmental curriculum committee. For master’s degrees that include research and thesis, these components together must be a total of at least 12 credits (at least 6 credits for research and 6 credits for the thesis). For PhD programs, the research and thesis components must be a total of at least 20 credits; 10 credits for research and 10 credits for the thesis.
