The Four-Year MD program features a dynamic and innovative curriculum consisting of 157 weeks divided into 10 terms. The School of Medicine offers students the flexibility to choose from different program schedules.
Students may complete the program in four years or extend their studies to a maximum of six years to pursue research, allow additional study time, or complete additional clinical rotations. During the first two years, students complete the Basic Principles of Medicine (BPM) and Principles of Clinical Medicine (PCM) curricula on the Chancellor Charles Modica Campus in Grenada.
Students also have the option to enroll in the St. George’s University School of Medicine/Northumbria University Four-Year MD Program (SGU/NU Program). Under this option, students complete their first year at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom, following the same curriculum as students on the Grenada campus.
During the final two clinical years, students may complete their clinical training at the University's clinical centers and affiliated hospitals in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Grenada.
