Students are only allowed to add or drop courses within the assigned period, usually up to the Friday of the first week of the course start date, and in consultation with their faculty advisor. Add/Drop forms must be completed by the student, signed, and submitted to the faculty advisor for signature. The faculty advisor, after signing, submits the form to administration for processing. No record of the “dropped” course will appear on the student’s transcript unless the course is dropped after the first week of that class. In that case, a W (withdrawal) is recorded on the transcript. Non-attendance does not constitute dropping a course, and no refund or credit will be granted for any course that is not officially dropped by the appropriate deadline. A student who remains registered in a course beyond the official withdrawal deadline and fails to complete course requirements as outlined in the syllabus will earn a failing grade.
