Basic Sciences Years
Since examination rosters are formed ahead of time by Examination Services, any examination accommodations must be delivered to the Dean of Basic Sciences Office from the Office of Accommodations at least 2 weeks prior to any examination. Therefore, students must apply for accommodations early so that the accommodations notice can be received and exercised. Any request that arrives late (i.e., less than 2 weeks prior to an examination for all written, practical, and clinical examinations) will not be honored at the upcoming examination but will be honored for the next examination in the term, if approved.
Clinical Years
NBME Clinical Subject Examination permits are arranged before the start of each rotation to ensure timely issuance. Accommodations approved after an NBME examination permit has been issued cannot be applied to that permit and will take effect for all subsequent NBME examination permits.
