Students matriculated into the SGUSOM Four-Year MD Program offered in conjunction with Northumbria University (NU) complete the first academic year (Terms 1 and 2) at NU in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Upon successfully meeting the required standards for Terms 1 and 2, students proceed to their second academic year at SGUSOM in Grenada. This requirement also applies to students who take a leave of absence (LOA) or repeat coursework. Accordingly, students remain in the United Kingdom (or return there if on an LOA) until they are promoted to the second academic year and proceed to Grenada.
