Master of Public Health (MPH) Admission Requirements
- North American Applicants
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or college, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Work experience or a strong interest in public health
- A personal statement of interest in public health
- Two letters of recommendation from qualified professionals (e.g. academic, professionals from relevant fields)

- A first- or second-class degree

- A bachelor’s degree, BSc, or equivalent with a strong science background

- If English is not the applicant’s principal language, the official record of a score of at least 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 7.0 overall score in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Admission Requirements
- North American Applicants
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 and a strong science background for MSc applications
- A master’s degree or equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 and a strong science background for PhD applications
- GRE tests are not required, but strong GRE performance enhances an application
- Candidates for the Microbiology MSc degree must have at least a 3.0 GPA in microbiology courses
- A doctoral research proposal for PhD application
- Two letters of recommendation
- Prior research experience is a benefit, but not a requirement in MSc application
- Prior research experience is a requirement for PhD application
- British Applicants
- Applicants in the United Kingdom system must have a first- or second-class degree

Master of Education (MEd) Admission Requirements:
- When applying, candidates must submit the following:
- All official post-secondary transcripts
- A professional resume
- A 3-5 page academic writing sample
- A 2-3 page personal statement
- Two letters of recommendation (one academic, one professional)
- Applicants must also indicate which track they are applying for Global Education, Health Education, or Medical Education)
- Select applicants will be invited for a virtual interview with the program director. Applicants can expect to complete a real-time writing task during the interview.
