Costa Rica Global Health Selective

In partnership with the United Nations-established University for Peace (UPEACE), this 10-day program offers a dynamic exploration of global health equity through the lens of One Health and the UN Sustainable Development Goal #3.  Students will examine Costa Rica’s universal healthcare system and explore how social, cultural, and environmental factors—including migration, gender equity, Indigenous and Afro-descendant health, and rural development—shape access to care and public health outcomes for underserved populations.  The Costa Rica Selective is open to students in the MD, DVM, MPH, and all other graduate degree programs in SGU.
