The Trust & the Hospital
The North Middlesex University Hospital

NHS Trust operates a busy acute general hospital serving the communities of the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey, and surrounding areas. It serves a diverse and, in places, highly dependent population of approximately a quarter of a million people. The Hospital is approximately 12 miles from the centre of London. The Trust currently provides the following range of acute services: 24 Hour Accident and Emergency, a comprehensive range of diagnostic and outpatient department services, elderly medicine, elective surgical specialties, intensive care, high dependency care and coronary care, obstetrics & gynaecology, oncology, haematology, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, renal and cardiology, paediatric inpatients and outpatients and neonatal. Other facilities at the hospital include a dedicated 24/7 A&E for children, a diagnostics centre incorporating a £1.2 million 3-tesla MRI, 2 CT scanners, 4 ultrasound units and a mammography unit, a spacious outpatients department and a critical care unit.
